I don’t see how having a guy as a good friend is flirting. Honestly, I prefer to talk to guys more than girls. They’re just honest and upfront. I can talk to them about anything. I’m not self conscious around them, I can say what I want and know that they wouldn’t judge me. I can be as lame as I want. And they actually get my humour. We can have great conversations without resorting to bitching. And I don’t need to be anyone but me.

I wonder how guys feel when we girls post these sort of things that so ostentatiously put down other girls. I’m not saying I don’t agree or that guys make horrible friends. I just think blanket assumptions regarding the opposite sex are rather short-sighted. There’s an even spread of guys and girls among the list of the nicest people in my life.
